Rachel Tam

Research Assistant

Inspired by her years of frontline work with diverse marginalized individuals and by her own social and economic immigration experience, Rachel Tam (she/her) is a research assistant on Border(ing) Practices. Her dedication and work towards social justice in human and social services stem from her Master of Social Work education at the University of Toronto and her current role as a VAW counsellor at a community organization. Rachel hopes to better understand the intersection of immigration and systemic racism shape child welfare practices with children, youth, and families.
